Rev. Emmitt J. Lee is the Senior Pastor and founder of the Rapturea Better
Way Christian Ministry. His beautiful wife, Beulah Lee of 26 years stands
faithfully by his side.
Pastor Lee is originally from Shreveport Louisiana. He moved to Dallas and
graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He continued his
education at El Centro College and Southern Bible Institute. He received
his Doctor of Divinity Degree from Bishop College. Not only did God call
Rev. Lee to the ministry, he blessed him musically as well. He started and
traveled with his singing group, Twilights, for more than 10 years. He has
39 songs which have been accredited to his writing, publishing and
copywriting. These songs are still being performed today all over the
country. After Rev. Lee stop traveling he began another singing group
called the Rapturians. The Rapturians recorded many songs. And
although some of the members have changed they are still performing
today.
Rev. Lee has been preaching for over forty years. He began Rapturea in
February of 2002 with 145 members. With the vision that God has given to
Pastor Lee, he is leading Rapturea to higher heights. Rev. Lee is an
outstanding teacher, preacher as well as a leader of the Gospel. II Timothy
2:15 is one of the standing mottos for our Bible Institute held on Wednesday
nights. It states, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.”
After retiring from Vought Aircraft for 37 years, he has dedicated his life to
the edifying of the body of Christ.
